OMBUDSMAN MORALES: 'Aquino is Corrupt-Free, He led By Example.’

Despite the many allegations and complaints filed against former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III, Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales called him corrupt-free.<br /><br />
It can be recalled that the former President had issues with the Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP) and was also sued for reckless imprudence resulting to homicide in the operations in Mamasapano which led to the death of 44 SAF officers.

 But Morales defended him saying that he led by example when it comes to being corruption-free.
“You have to give it to him. He is corrupt-free.” she said.<br /><br />
However, she assured that all cases against Aquino is still active.

President Duterte included in Forbes World's Most Powerful People 2016

There are approximately 7.4 billion humans on planet Earth, but only a handful of men and women make the world turn. Forbes Magazine on Wednesday revealed its annual ranking of the "Most Powerful People in the World."<br /><br />

Vladimir Putin was the world's most powerful person for a fourth straight year in 2016, with US president-elect Donald Trump in second place.

Fourth place went to China's President Xi Jinping, while the fifth spot on the list went to Pope Francis.Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg was also number 10 on the list.<br /><br />
And placing in the seventieth (70th) spot is the Philippine President Rodrigo "Roa" Duterte. He was the only Filipino who made it to the list this year.<br /><br />
Even before he was sworn into office, President Duterte was making international headlines due to his candid public speaking style and his deadly war on drugs.

Duterte announced a "separation" from a century-long strategic alliance with United States, and plans to realign the Philippines towards China. Dutertes tendency to say what he thinks, no matter how raw, also keeps him in the headlines Forbes Magazine wrote.
